I can't legally comment on EXR but what I will say about HHR:
1. Building a model for this company requires inputs for the spot price of Natural Gas for given times. No one is going to be able to provide accurate spot price models for a valuation model to work.
2. This stock is a speculative investment. This is seen with all buy volume on today's
trading day (up 14%) being retail.
3. MOST IMPORTANT: Be really careful with any speculative company that relies on engineering studies/prospecting etc. It is very typical that you will find wealth managers that have a client base that holds huge stakes in these kinds of companies. **I would not be surprised if some stockbroker just told their entire book to go buy this stock which is why there is so much volume today.** The issue here is that one financial advisor now provides stock advice to dozens of individuals who hold a given speculative company. **This allows them to move the stock price in their favour by providing financial advice and gives them soft power influence on the board of directors.**
**Seriously do not put all your eggs in one basket here. These financial managers will take your scalp by pulling the strings of their book.**
The list of ASX traded O&G companies with UK/EU exposure must be a short one so thanks for flagging ADX and HHR.
For HHR I'd say tie-ing into a Shell pipeline is pretty common since new build pipelines offshore are very difficult and expensive, so wouldn't flag this as too special, but is a great de-risking step to let HHR focus on drilling and production. Shell will charge fees to transport so they make money too and HHR won't get full price for anything.
Fun fact you cannot frac anywhere in Germany or Austria and neither can you do any injection like CCS so a lot of stuff will be a gamble on that being revoked. "At the turn of the millennium Germany was pumping out some 20bcm of natural gas a year, enough to meet close to a quarter of national demand. But although geologists think that Germany holds at least 800bcm of exploitable gas, production has not grown but rather collapsed, to a mere 5-6bcm, equivalent to just 10% of imports from Russia."
Reading more do they have operating rigs offshore already or is this all new builds? If the later then first gas by 2024 is very blue sky thinking given they haven't done a FEED yet.
Hahahah patience is key, everything is still looking great for this play. A divestment is due soon which should hopefully fund phase 1 and set us up for a run.
Also, just released today a purchase of 4.5 mil shares by the CEO for his family…..i feel pretty comfortable that this is going the right direction. But who knows, the asx is a Casino and we are here for the bets right? Haha
