Waka gonna Wak. IVZ pumping those all time highs.
Still massively undervalued
Can’t believe how cheap CRR is atm.
When does WHC pay out it's dividend, they haven't updated their website. Most companies like CBA list it well ahead of time.
Should know for sure Thursday 🤰🏾
Down 4.9% today wooo
Has anyone tried swing trading IHL, bastard up and down like a yo yo.
Whilst it does have liquidity in its favour, it's going down, down, down, which not something I'd be wanting to trade in at all. To each their own, etc etc.
CBE, perhaps, but it's just about to go on a big downturn by the looks of things too.
That's the whole point? IHL has been swinging all year.
CBE is up 930% in a month... Has only a pump.
I sold a small parcel at 32c, waiting to see if 25c gets tapped again to buy back the same amount of shares
But I'm only doing it to see how good I am at crystal ball gazing 🔮
I'll be buying if it taps 20c
IHL with the sack whack at the end. Thanks buddy.
My shit just went green for today and I have no fucking clue what I'm doing.
Sounds like you're doing it right! ;)
When the inevitable BPH rug pull happens it is going to give me enough energy to last a whole year. Oh Lordy.
I’m happy for people recovering a bit of cash on this pump.. but who in their right mind would buy it right now?
I bought a stack at 3:48pm at 4.1. Run will continue tmor. ;)
This ain’t called ASX_bets for nothing I suppose..
Remindme! 1 day
I have a ‘system’.
Bph growing faster than my prostate
those IHL cheeks got clapped.
Used to it at this point
My PLS finally back in the green.
Cheers fellas (and gals) 🥂
PLS has been above $3.75 twice this year, so not everyone bought at sub $3 mate. ;)
Again, not everyone is sitting on a pile of spare cash. For many of us caught out by the GS stunt and subsequent AusSuper dump our options were: sell at a loss, ride it out, or DCA if you had the means...
For the love of all that is holy… It doesn’t hurt to consult pls history, deduce you’re at the top, and sell 10% or so to buy below 2.5/whatever floats yr boat :)
$3.21 ave price 🙃
Well, ofcourse it is 😛. But how long you willing to wait for X% amount of returns is the question
IVZ doing the heavy lifting for IXR today
Did what any responsible person in my position would do and doubled down to further increase anxiety cmon you sweet thing make me believeeee
have you seen the IVZ hotcopper? shiet. time to sell.
Probably worst time to sell.
Now THAT’S a red day
I thought only DW8 is my dog but IXR is racing to be another one...
Why can’t my ROG get a nice pump like BPH
At this rate that IVZ is going up I would turn gay for Scotty MacMillian <3
Big Scotty we love you.
Anyone got CDT in their portfolio? Seems like its eternity waiting for the Kambale graphite assay results...
Seems like they take forever to drill anything
Trust in Mr Stone
Yes i do trust him, but just need to vent it out during this panic mode
I'm bleeding... again... please make it stop
sell your stocks.
Coulda been worse
edit: $0.39 oh wait, Barry's not done yet
edit3: $36.92 - anyone want to throw their laundry in the bath while Barry's having this conniption?
> oh wait, Barry's not done yet
Barry's done when Barry says he's done, not a second before.
Haha that is gold !
Is he done *now*? I need to pee
edit4: -$99.08 nope not done
Sorry mate, Barry doesn't give a fuck if you piss yaself waiting for him to figure out his shit at the end of the day
I'll just fucking piss on the floor then
IVZ just made up for a shitty day at work
Well fuck me that hurts
Could free-carry IVZ but where's the fun in that?
Absolutely holding strong with 600k. This thing has legs and a lot more runway.
currently at 23k profit and I'm shitting myself daily. don't know if I should free carry or yolo 💀
I know how you feel, my position's now 587k. Embrace the fear
I can't even comprehend that 😭
Just let us all know when you put in a sell position ey blackberry?
That's just beautiful
I also have a position which is the good
Tits up or to the moon!!
Only down -38.44% now on BPH .....
Wow +235% and still in the red
IS LPD ever going to do something or is it worth just cutting losses at 30% down?
It’s 2.9c, but I expect we’ll get many bags out of it. LKE was 2c not so long ago. If I hadn’t paperhanded I could have had many bags. LPD for me is a rare multi-year hold.
I like your confidence
Progress has been slow, but they're due for announcements heading into the final quarter.
Fuck it, used the opportunity to book the 70% and 2k loss on BPH. God I hope this wasn't a retarded decision. Better than the -91% it was sitting on I guess.
I think it's probably the best bet. There were legitimate reasons to refuse the permit so even if Scomo shit BPH's bed, I cant see BPH ending up with approval or damages in the future.
That being said, his actions were unprecedented.
And what were the legitimate reasons? The previous Minister was going to approve.
Asset Energy didn’t comply with their work obligations under PEP-11 to drill an exploration well before February 2020 so they were/are in breach and so this gives Labor an easy reason to deny the extension.
Asset also applied for a covid extension, but to comply with their work obligation to drill a well before February 2020 they would have had to have everything advancing (funding, procurement, planning etc) well before Covid was even a thing in 2019 - and they did nothing.
The failure to comply with work obligations is probably sufficient reason to deny the extension. That doesn’t mean it has to be denied - eg KP might have approved it - but it probably gives Labor enough scope to say no.
I hope this is one of the times you are correct
Do I flog off BPH to minimise my losses to 75%?
BHP announces huge profits and dividends but is still only +15% from its low this year (July, \~$36.10). Current $41.46
Interesting, slightly undervalued?
BHP going back 7 years & much further back has always been priced lower than Rio etc.
The Times They Are A-Changin'
Edit: which motherfucker downvoted this bob dylan classic?
I’d suspect they trade at shittier margins compared to the competition. They own good assets, but don’t make the most of them.
Id be happy for them to reduce their divs next year and aggressively invest into something like a new metal in their portfolio or things like battery recycling.
Completely agree. They were smart to hang onto their nickel assets, but other than that their strategy doesn't seem to involve much focus into emerging commodities.
From what ive read when I researched the company a lot of their focus is now in copper and potash - which is great but I wish for BHP to be 2x their size.
Granted they’re already the biggest mining company in the world but I just feel like they should aggressively expand vertically and laterally (largely bc they have so much cash)
SP is a lead indicator, those previous highs were based on charging IO prices. SP has priced in a lower IO future price now, meaning im not sure it will tap 50 again. That's my dumb fuck analysis (typed while shitting) anyway.
they also sold off the O&G assets since then, which was distributed as cash to shareholders, so it seems fair that market cap would reduce with them gone
Has the market cap reduced tho? Did they not become the largest ASX company post merger?
Yep, very true, probably a bigger factor than what I commented
I didn't expect the sp to rebound so well since. I guess coal has been firing and keeping things green
If there's one thing that BHP is good at, it's bouncing strongly out of nowhere.
Or bouncing immediately back post ex-divs
BPH up 150% today on an announcement that basically says "Yeah what Scomo did was pretty dodgey, might sue him, i dunno"...
PEP11 is never gonna happen, could be a good biotech play though...
Why won’t it happen?
Yeah pretty much what frenchy said. The location, politics and people. It's offshore from some of NSW's most well-known beaches, affecting some of the most affluent suburbs. Eyesore, potential spills, property prices etc.
Rich and powerful NIMBYs no less.
For all the would be SNAS purchasers... if you have US trading enabled, pick up WEBS instead. You're welcome.
“Direxion Daily Dow Jones Internet Bear 3X Shares”
Is that a triple short of the Dow?
Of the DOW tech stocks. Goes +9% where SNAS goes +4-5%
Time travel to 10 o'clock today please.
is ivz $1 yet yes or no
My new favorite
I have 70,000 shares, reckon that’s a decent amount or not really idek anymore
Check back tomorrow
Sure. When IXR hits 2.5c.
Who cares, IVZ baby
ok thank u
i come back tomorrow
No worries. I'll be refreshing instead of working
my little old ATP averages a whopping $5k worth of shares traded per day 😅
not exactly high-octane edge of your seat shareholding action
shame Afterpay doesn't still exist, might have been able to leech some fat-fingered accidental buys to keep things interesting 🦪
omg just finished my mid term and came back to see IVZ and there you are my beauty
IHL down 10%...
Now 13, i was really expecting an announcement but i guess people diving out with profit or stop losses.
I think a few people had a stop loss at 28/29c which was where resistance was a week or so ago...
Shame it can't hold 30c, looks like 26c is the next support level and then nothing solid until 19-20c again (which will be painful to watch)
But great time to load up
I'm in queue at 25c if it drops that far...
Feels bad man. Flirting with 0.265, I don't know how stocks work because I can see a wall of buy orders that's just not met by any sell orders, I would think this would keep the price up.
IVZ free carry hit, can't lose money 🎉
90 percent loss on XST, 100 on PRMOB, now 74 on BPH. But not IVZ. Not this time cunt.
Mine went through at 31.5c as i proceeded to watch it rocket up to 33c haha
25K left to carry this sucker through drilling
That's it IVZ. Hit a new ATH
IXR ruining my excitement
EDV acting like a penny stock the day after the AFR article
Wrong way Lake!!!
BBOZ is also a diversified fukpolio
Huh. I'm typin into the reddit android app from my laptop. It feels like theres an extra step in there somewhere.
giving me hope.
I'm actually in the green now, wtf.
And you're not selling?
Like eating cardboard do you?
Best news all fucking month!!!
I'm only 74% down now amd it's amazing
On paper i was over 92% down, but I originally bought the shares at like... 1.2c or something and free carried and day traded some more from 4c till 29c. SO my average is ALL fucked up.
wow haha! bit of luck both ways there. I finished yesterday 54% down, I'll take it for now
I was shilling BPH and BUY for ages. Not many listened to me but a few did.
can't remember who gave me the initial idea but it might have been you, honestly can't remember though. checked it out and it seemed alright. been an interesting 18 month ride lol
Does anyone here actually have a diversified portfolio?
Yes, 3 stocks.
Not really, mix of speccie miners (rare earths, lithium, uranium), large cap miners, and oil & gas.
Currently holding: 1AE, 92E, AZL, BHP, BOE, FFX, FMG, GLV (down 90%), GTR, IHL, IVZ, IXR, LLL, RIO, STX, WDS
Largest holdings are: BOE, FMG, WDS, STX, RIO
100% penny stocks, don't talk to me about your P/E ratio.
Yeah, cause you really can't quantify an infinite PE ratio.
I thought we all stopped caring about P/E after high school? Best subject though
Prob most on here. We just talk about speccies since they're actually interesting and have relatively regular announcements.
for me im holding: (BHP, PLS, GT1, NMT, RNU, MAY, BOE, ARR, AVL)
I’m 100% on coal/gas :D
this motherfucker bought VAS
Is Stake still free for ASX trades?
I was considering buying BLK aka black rock on nasdaq for that. I mean, it’s pretty hard to diversify further than their ownership.
I'm all in on one stock.
I'm not doing great right now and my life decisions reflect that.
What is it?
IHL, I'd rather not say how much money I have in there.
I honestly believe that if this stock booms then rich people will want to legalise weed. In the end, this is the only legal change that would significantly benefit my life, help me sleep, help me write music, it even used to help me exercise.
I think ANL is a requirement for that, and as much I love pimping it, I confess to being an ANL virgin who is too scared/stupid/noob autist to take that one on.
Diversified across different commodities…..does that count?
Well I wasn’t expecting to see REITs, bonds. So yes it does
Bout as diverse as the ENTIRE asx pretty much for you……
Your flair says it all
How many holdings do you have now?
45% long ETFs
45% leveraged short ETFs
10% Clifford penny
I guess that counts as diversified.
Yes. Mix of sectors, mix of growth and value.
But they might all be smallcaps or something.
I too have a mix of speccies across different sectors.
Sometimes I swing trade LKE but otherwise it’s 100% AGN atm
Dedication, I like it. Also pls stop licking all the windows on the bus
lithium, iron ore, nickel, copper, tin. Diversified as fuck
Metal as fvck
randomly reminded me of the instagram account 'natureismetal'
Also a subreddit which is great.
Sounds like you have a big brain
I had nearly 20 stocks at one point...
A familiar tune you play my friend. I took most of my dogs to the back of the barn last year. Life’s been much simpler only watching 2 stocks
I still hold a few, mostly my free carried ones.
Results Thursday, riding the PLS wave today. Weeeeee AKE could go for a run tomorrow!
My worst financial investment ever was paying a vet $14K to remove part of my cats lungs and then it died the day after the surgery. It was the beginning on last year but this is your reminder to buy pet insurance 👍
My worst is buying rog
Dead cat bounce?
He was 4 years old, I would have been happy paying it if he lived another 3-4 years.
Yeah, I don’t doubt plenty of pet insurers are taking people for a ride but he was relatively young and i don’t think anyone is bouncing back after taking out 2 chunks of lung haha.
Oh shiiiiit thats bloody tough. I have similar costs and experiences - cept i got a couple WEEKS at least!! My dog was 5.
My cat got 2 more years for thousands. I had her booked in for radiotherapy (at 17) which would have been more thousands and i was doing it……but two days beforehand she had a massive stroke and we said goodbye. I was devo……but certainly glad it happened BEFORE radiation !!
I've never paid for pet insurance, and planned to set aside the premiums, so if the cat needs something major do some kind of cost/benefit analysis. And at $14k i hate to say it won't be looking good for the cat. Especially as "set aside premiums" = speculate it on microcaps
Haha I was definitely financially in a better place at the time but he was only 4. If I had an 8-10 year old cat in that situation it’d be a harder choice
should have set up a stop loss instead, it is cheaper
Classic vet pump and dump.
If only I’d listened to Scott Phillips 2 favourites pet surgeries for one low subscription cost
God it feels good having shares in a company that actually has cash on hand and is making money (PLS).
