We actually follow US futures/markets less than you think. Especially atm, ASX is more influenced by economic conditions domestically , as well as Chinese demand for resources. (All opinions based on a vague understanding of stonks)
TEM advises that the following may be contributing to strong interest in the Company:
I. Members of the TEM Board have recently returned from marketing activities in North America - including attendance at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention in Toronto - where strong interest in the TEM story was expressed by many parties.
II. TEM has a number of previously announced planned upcoming activities at the Meleya Project including downhole geophysics, field sampling, drilling and pending assays from WARDH72 and WARDH73. Unfortunately there have been delays experienced industry wide in WA in being able to finalise assays in a timely manner. Presently, TEM believes that assays for key zones should be available within 2 weeks and complete assays of both holes should be available within 8-10 weeks and TEM will update the market as soon as it is able to do so."
III. As advised in previous reporting by TEM including section 6.4 of the TEM Prospectus released on ASX on 21 June 2022 “...Whilst progressing exploration on its existing projects, the Company also continues to investigate other mining and exploration opportunities in the best interests of all shareholders of the Company, with a primary focus on prospective gold and copper projects. Presently the Company is looking at a number of gold mining and exploration projects in Australasia and North America. No assurance can be given that the Company will be successful in acquiring any further mining and exploration interests…..”
lmao
sheesh. i can't see a relief for quite a while. is there any point pulling capital out now, or is walking away from the dumpster fire that is my portfolio only to hope it bounces back in a year or two the best option?
The **sunk cost fallacy** means that we are making decisions that are irrational and lead to suboptimal outcomes. We are focused on **our past investments** instead of **our present and future costs and benefits**, meaning that we commit ourselves to decisions that are no longer in our best interests.
In other words, think about what will happen to your remaining money in the next week, next month, next 6 months. What you've lost doesn't matter. What you will lose (or gain) does.
Are you certain the share price will bounce back? Is the company actually making money? Just focus on the future and preserving your capital\*
*\*Not financial advice, I have lost 55% on BSX, 50% on KGL, 55% on NVA.*
i've given up looking at my stocks and crypto. luckily both combined amount to $10,000 of my own capital overall, so i'm not absolutely fucked, just annoyed.
I got out of AZL for about 30% profit I think, probably going to look at buying back in. Also dumped AGY for a tidy profit earlier in the week, but may buy back in again soon.
I'm the last horse across the line on this one, but I'm reverting to doing a doing a few quick trades a day instead of HODLing. I figure if rockets happen in this macro, they'll be slow enough that I'll be able to catch them.
I got stuck in a rut. Kept buying low until I had no money, and then kept HODLING which felt like being held down while Barry kicked me in the dick, day after day.
I ended up 1.32% today, which isn't groundbreaking, but if I hadn't cut my dogs loose I'd be down over 3%.
I legit don't not even know what choc scotch fingers are. Are they the just plain scotch fingers dipped in choc, or are they choc biscuit version of scotch fingers?
The new Obsession biscuits are pretty good, except they cost $5.50 for 6 biscuits, unless they are on special.
You still don't get it. First world teenage climate change retards have a dummy spit on camera are no longer relevant. Working out where you are going to grow your own food is. You should be refocussing your investment themes accordingly.
Yesterday with just a splash of green on the ASX I posted this:
"Hilarious. You have a <2% green day after being gang raped for weeks on end and you retards are already dancing around like 6 year olds old at a school play and knocking back the hopium.
Hope, as deceitful as she is, leads us on an agreeable path toward lifes end. -- HotThaiGirl"
You fuckers hammered me with downvotes.
Fuck you...and I told you so.
True story, I was going to parody post earlier with 'I fucking told you retards so --HotThaiGirl' but I decided not to rob you of the joy and endorphins from posting it yourself.
Nope. I don't know who that is. I am entirely new to reddit. Can the mods check my IP address. If yes ask them to with my consent and you will find I am located in Thailand.
the spread on TLG is often crazy compared to its battery speccie peers. Practically no volume until about +12% of the 4pm closing price.
Why no one like my stock
I mean, on the one hand it sucks but on the other hand if it stays around $1 across the next 4 months till end of September you can buy the comany on approval for less than it was beforehand but with significant derisking (aside from finance).
Back at square one and sold out, expecting more hurting to come. 30k gains down to $150, might go buy a bottle of whiskey with it or something this weekend.
Stu Crow who is also the co-founder will just confirm that the board had a different view on the future direction of the company from Steve. Nothing to see here
Lithium and rare earth are done for...so is tech for that matter in the near term. As I have already posted no one is going to be day dreaming about what model tesla they are going to buy when they are digging up the back yard (if they have one) to plant potatoes.
Right now you need to be focussing on trading opportunities linked to integrity of food supply.
From LKE’s twitter:
“Executive chairman Stu Crow will update the market on Steve Promnitz’s departure on this Friday’s ShareCafe’s webinar, Special Q&A session”

Looking forward to snapping up PLS at sub $1.50. If a serious recession lands, it might go below $1, but during the 2024 lithium boom will be a god damned phoenix.
u/raindog_ Updated the tracker numbers to contain producers (think AKE, PLS, MIN, WES, IGO. 🐢 soon) / developers (anything with a JORC - FFX, AVZ, ESS, GL1, LTR, CXO, LKE etc) / explorers (all other dogs)
This is the broad tiers of how I originally separated the groups - basically where do they find their lithium. Hardrocks, brines, clays.
|**GAINS / LOSSES**|**Daily %**|**Weekly %**|**Monthly %**|**Yearly %**|**YTD %**|
:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|
|**Hardrock**|-1.87%|-14.68%|-21.45%|26.32%|-17.13%|
|**Brine**|-4.76%|-20.87%|-33.74%|39.09%|-34.30%|
|**Clay / Sediments**|-5.06%|-13.83%|-22.58%|36.57%|-22.50%|
This is the data for producers (only hardrock so far - AKE weird exception), developers (mix of hardrock, brine, clays) and explorers (again, all other dogs).
|**GAINS / LOSSES**|**Daily %**|**Weekly %**|**Monthly %**|**Yearly %**|**YTD %**|
:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|
|**PRODUCERS**|-1.43%|-3.59%|-18.45%|22.80%|-22.17%|
|**DEVELOPERS**|-4.13%|-11.23%|-27.03%|101.59%|-20.39%|
|**EXPLORERS**|-2.06%|-6.90%|-23.85%|4.17%|-15.89%|
Either way you look at it, there is significant risk-off across the sector despite Li2CO3 pricing holding strong.
Seems a little strange that the producers are down the most YTD, but I guess there's always buy the rumour, sell the news.
The monthly percentages seem spot on though....
Thats also MIN (iron ore exposure), IGO (nickel/lithium/other?), WES (discretionary spending places like Bunnings). So this is a superficial look at the big 5 averaged out. AKE and PLS are the only true lithium producers we have. PLS is getting man-handled by its offtake pricing, whereas AKE is more resilient because they can negotiate on their pricing.
Here's how it looks. You can see PLS and WES have dragged the others down the most.
|Ticker|Price|Daily %|Weekly %|Monthly %|Yearly %|YTD %|
:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|:-:|
|ASX:IGO|10.420|-0.43%|-5.19%|-12.95%|35.68%|-12.36%|

Wicked! amazing mate.
I think I sent a request for the sheet access, but I thought I saw you write you are just doing an overhaul at present.
Are you ready for LLL tomorrow?
I run with sturdy tickers, never hittin' dirty chicks
Got thirty five doggies, buddy don't make it thirty six
Nobody can take nuttin' from Big L but a loss chief

There’s something special about buying a stock at it’s yearly low knowing you timed the market perfectly, and then one minute passes and it drops even further
Currently eyeing PIQ and MKG
Just did a quick DD on PIQ & all announcements seem positive. They have cash for about another 2 quarters but their SP is at the lowest point for the past 12 mths? Any thoughts? I know Biotechs have been hit hard but I would have thought this one should be treated a bit differently given the stage it is at.
frends - I just went to buy shares at market price on stake.
So, I arrange to buy $500 worth of shares, at market price, expiring at the end of the day.
What is the price including fees? $574.
What the hell is going on?
As an autist noob, this seems...weird. Checked stake documentation...nothing.
So, is this another one of their shady things like their o/s exchange rates that they tell no one about, and you possibly learn the hard way?
You bought at market price so you wouldn't get the current share price, you would get whatever the lowest offer is. That's assuming you entered an amount of units and not a $ value?
no, I entered $500 as that’s the minimum buy on stake. They’re charging $74. Or at least, that’s my understanding. I’ll email them, but figured an autist would know…
I’m not buying, but screenshotting and asking stake for an explanation. Maybe the $74 is wriggle room for buying over?
[at market, $ amount](https://i.imgur.com/ysubO6y.jpg)
I have $1077 because I was not doing a buy I didn’t understand that has zero documentation from stake.
fyi, stake reply:
“There are no fees for the ASX apart from the $3 brokerage fee.
For context, the ASX does not actually have true "market" orders like in the US. This means that "market" orders placed on the Stake platform are actually submitted as "market to limit orders"; we essentially place a limit order at a price a certain % deviation away from the prevailing market price to ensure a fill, however, you end up getting filled at the best price, replicating the effects of a standard market order like on the US market.
For the time being, the price deviations are actually being based off the last traded price as opposed to current market price. Let's say we take the last traded price of 0.86 at 2:47pm, this gives the proposed 577.367
Whilst we do not yet have live stock pricing data for ASX, it is something we are currently reviewing as we understand how important it would be.
I hope everything above makes sense, but please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions. “
my autist maths:
$500 -3 (brokerage fee) = $497
$497.00 \ .86 = 577.9
round down to 577 = stake “market” price where they have live data to calculate your price, but cannot provide you with live data.
That's what I'm thinking, yes. A brokerage fee of $77 for market pricing, of which there is zero documentation. So, they're effectively charging around 15%.
Again, you're not paying $577, you are receiving 577 shares. When you buy small amounts, your brokerage accounts for a larger percentage of your purchase, which means your average cost per unit is higher than if you bought a lot.
Market depth is currently showing offers of 0.86 for LKE. You're not buying at the current price but at the offer price (I'm not 100% sure on how this works specifically, perhaps Stake is more estimating what the price will be once the order executes?).
$500 - $3 (brokerage) / $0.86 = 577 shares.
did you mean lithium in general, or the ticker LIT?
asking because [LIT usa](https://www.globalxetfs.com/funds/lit/) was what I was going to suggest over [LIT asx](https://www2.asx.com.au/markets/company/lit).
My fax machine must be broken. I guess I don't understand what changed.. The world still moving to ev's, still need those batteries. Nothing's changed except the market shat itself

US futures down almost 2%, Asia pushed us down on their open too

I rate the Salted Caramel obsession biscuits 4/10. Better off sticking to Caramel Crowns or Caramel TimTams.
Mint slices are better than both, chumps

Ahh yeah sharecafe likes to try and do damage control. As they did with MNS, that worked out well didn't it.
For a while, but in the case of MNS, The Australian got their claws into them, which might have been more damaging than what has happened to Lake.
Has that been confirmed that its still on? Or people just reading the previous list and hoping he'll show up. The Q&A will be fun.
From the Share Cafe about 10-20 minutes ago, no statement from Lake Edit: Lake confirmed to attend via Twitter...
From LKE’s twitter: “Executive chairman Stu Crow will update the market on Steve Promnitz’s departure on this Friday’s ShareCafe’s webinar, Special Q&A session”

Sorry boys (and girls), I’ve just got off the phone with the asx manager and they’ve said the recession is uncancelled.
Well that does it. I'm selling my 2 units of ASX.ASX then.
That's it. I'm getting on the phone and speaking to Phillip about this.
How do I file a complaint?
Check with the Hot Copper Crew!!
Get them back on the phone and ununcancell it please
Fuck off this is shit, i was promised banter and some laughs.
We do laugh because if we don't we would be crying!!
There’s something special about buying a stock at it’s yearly low knowing you timed the market perfectly, and then one minute passes and it drops even further Currently eyeing PIQ and MKG
Why are my fingers bleeding?
Just did a quick DD on PIQ & all announcements seem positive. They have cash for about another 2 quarters but their SP is at the lowest point for the past 12 mths? Any thoughts? I know Biotechs have been hit hard but I would have thought this one should be treated a bit differently given the stage it is at.
Geez the directors of DDR are buying up over the last month or so!
Dance Dance Revolution!
Pays a divvie, it’s had a good run, I’m holding.
Me too - May even add another 1,000 to the portfolio.
So basically just delete the app and come back in a year.
Just do some white collar crime and go away for a while. Come back and buy 2 lambos.
Wrinkly brain over here
No need to come back though
True
what's happening with TEM today
Trading pause & maybe a leaky ship!
Excuse me VML wtf
Dont forget INR
IXR is a similar position.
REEEEEEEEEEEE
Alabanese: Australia will avoid the recession... ASX: nah mate we innit
He meant that the government will avoid calling it a recession but we all have to suffer like its a recession
Damnit Albo I was told there would be Lambo
Yes for him!
frends - I just went to buy shares at market price on stake.
I’ll email them, but figured an autist would know…
That's weird, what does the order confirmation say in regards to units and price? What was the stock? Without more details it's hard to say.
I’m not buying, but screenshotting and asking stake for an explanation. Maybe the $74 is wriggle room for buying over? [at market, $ amount](https://i.imgur.com/ysubO6y.jpg)
I'm guessing you have $574 left in your account? 1077 - 500 - 3 brokerage?
I have $1077 because I was not doing a buy I didn’t understand that has zero documentation from stake. fyi, stake reply: “There are no fees for the ASX apart from the $3 brokerage fee. Let's say we take the last traded price of 0.86 at 2:47pm, this gives the proposed 577.367 Whilst we do not yet have live stock pricing data for ASX, it is something we are currently reviewing as we understand how important it would be. I hope everything above makes sense, but please do not hesitate to reach out if you have further questions. “
That's 577 shares. 577 × .86 = $496.22 ?
my autist maths: $500 -3 (brokerage fee) = $497 $497.00 \ .86 = 577.9 round down to 577 = stake “market” price where they have live data to calculate your price, but cannot provide you with live data.
So yeah. Problem solved 👍
The problem is you're trying to buy lke, the app is giving you subtle hints that it's a bad idea
I took it as a sign, yes :)
That's the amount of shares you're getting.
>If its 577 shares, that's at .866, how is that market?
Brokerage
That's what I'm thinking, yes. A brokerage fee of $77 for market pricing, of which there is zero documentation. So, they're effectively charging around 15%.
Again, you're not paying $577, you are receiving 577 shares. When you buy small amounts, your brokerage accounts for a larger percentage of your purchase, which means your average cost per unit is higher than if you bought a lot.
Never used stake before, but pretty sure that saying for your $500 you will get 577 shares.
maths is not my strongest point, but $500 worth of .845 or .84 = over 590 shares. If its 577 shares, that's at .866 this is not making sense.
Is RRR up 20% because the movie was THAT good ?
ASX can't even follow a US green day. This market is fucked.
To be fair we did have a fairly green day yesterday.
So.. Why is lit, shit? I mean a couple of months ago it was the shit, but the good kind 🤔
Sentiment? Fear? Euphoria? No, euphoria was months ago.
did you mean lithium in general, or the ticker LIT? asking because [LIT usa](https://www.globalxetfs.com/funds/lit/) was what I was going to suggest over [LIT asx](https://www2.asx.com.au/markets/company/lit).
Lithium = bad Didn't you get the memo?
and apparently... Coal and Gas = Good Looks like the boomers are back in control.
My fax machine must be broken. I guess I don't understand what changed.. The world still moving to ev's, still need those batteries. Nothing's changed except the market shat itself
