u/sugeknight_standover ESS scoping study pushed back 2-3 weeks due to "the IGO takeover....*bullshit*". Any party relying on that information for a counter offer will also be delayed. I should have fucking known - it's taken them 5 years to make 2-3 years progression for anyone else. Who would've guessed they can't keep to a fucking timeline
This takeover is a fucking gift from IGO. They were on the brink of having to raise cash under 30c.

Buy the worst house on the best street, do as much renovation you can yourself, easy to self learn. Get the house to a state you want it before kids, you'll have zero time after that.
In all seriousness: pick an area you love and will be happy being in even if the house is slightly worse. A good house in a shit area will never be a good decision. Don’t fall inlove with the house and don’t think it’s the only one that will ever come up, it’s buyers market now so lowball and go from there
A good floorplan poorly presented is better than a shit one well staged.
Know your budget and stick to it
Consider future you requirements.
Prices? I believe they will ease a little more over the coming months - i wouldnt hurry if i didnt need to BUT also if you find something you love then id go for it anyway.
Patience and don't fall in love with a house on the first inspection.
Regarding price I expect June to Jan to be the bottom. The price mania started in June 2021 through to Jan. Those people paid high prices as they were able to take 1.99 - 2.29% on a 2 year fixed rate. When then 2 year fix ends they will be moving to 4.5 - 5.5% which is an extra ~800 per month on 600 000
Head to your local Colesworth around 11pm on any weeknight, I picked up a really nice 3 bed place when I was looking. Lovely recycled brown inside and out, and I can move it as needed. Need to renovate soon though as the sticky tape holding the roof together is starting to show its age.

I suppose it's cool that we have kangaroos and whales and shit, but couldn't we bury all the snakes and spiders in landfill? Or get feral cats to eat them?

At your service & nice link.u/Franksareforcucks that figure is totally unverified, as you've probably realised—it's based on the reliable Brinsden's commentary.
From the report:
>Variances between our mining inventory and actual reserves and resources presents the most material risk to our valuation for PMT (p.5)
I'd argue the biggest risk is delays & environmental sensitivities. It took years for AKE to get their permits, and there's also Authier. Poor form from Macquarie, IMO.
>We assume a flat grade of 1.13% Li2O, which translates to a spodumene production rate of 620ktpa based on the 5.0mtpa throughput and 70% recovery rate. Our development scenario assumes pre-production capex of C$750m and a life of mine AISC of US$710/t. Should PMT be able to secure local downstream processing capacity within Québec we would expect total costs to be materially lower than our base case due to reduced transport requirements (p.1).
OK, so let's plug those numbers in. I'm not sure about how the royalty works in Quebec, so I'll need to just throw a guess in there.
Market rate spod, 620ktpa, P/E of 8:
* US$1k/t: \~AU$175m NPAT pa (AU$1.4b MC) by 2027
* US$2k/t: \~AU$750m NPAT pa (AU$6.0b MC) by 2027
* US$3k/t: \~AU$1.35b NPAT pa (AU$11b MC) by 2027
PMET is currently worth \~AU$1.5b fully diluted, essentially half of LTR, who are also going into production for 600ktpa, except 3 years earlier.
If you think LTR are in a position that PMET will reach in 3 years, that's a compounding return of 30% pa, **before dilution**.
If you expect US$2k/t by 2027, you're anticipating a compound rate of \~40% pa, **assuming they don't conduct a single capital raise over the next 4 years**.
If you expect US$3k/t by 2027, you're going with a rate of \~65% pa, **again** **excluding any dilution at all**.
Now to PLL, with projects going into production during 2023, 2025, and probably 2026 (North Carolina). Across all its projects, PLL aim to produce 480-500ktpa, and is much further advanced than PMET, with govt financial support. Currently valued at $1.6b.
Given where LTR and PLL are sitting, there's no real sense to PMET's valuation right now, but I'm not suggesting to sell it, because hype generates returns.
But beyond that, I believe investors are suffering from the AVZ fallacy: that it'll be possible to get that giant resource out of the ground in sufficient annual volumes. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think AKE's James Bay is currently the largest scale granted spodumene permit in Canada? It's 321ktpa. So the first step for PMET is navigating the environmental issues to even be granted the 600ktpa, let alone look at 1000ktpa to rival PLS/MIN/IGO etc.

BHP is my favourite share on the ASX. Makes me feel at home in my boomer and former colonising world. The thought of claiming land just to squeeze every last ounce of value makes my wrinkly white skin tingle. As arguably the best-performing dividend share on the ASX with the addition of the recent news of a Serbian copper expansion, my wog friends at Berkshire are feeling a great sense of national pride. The recent M&A of OZL will also add more amazing copper assets to the already largest mining company in the world and will future-proof earnings as we see the transition to decarbonisation and green metals. On top of that, as the Chinese market is opening up, the CCP will want to resume economic growth projects through ghost infrastructure projects. I love big numbers and BHP is the biggest number on the ASX. However, FVEs are saying BHP is slightly overvalued right now. But you know what? I can feel lil Buffet tingling just at the thought of BHP so fuck it, Berkshire is all in. Berkshire approved.
You know, I dont think BHP is necessarily a boomer stock, or at least one of those stereotypical boring ones where there’s hardly any movement. I’m most bullish on it, but I also wouldnt buy at or close to ATHs
I think most people here hold BHP and/or FMG and I would guess most arnt in their boomer years yet. Im certainly far from it lol
My idea of a boomer stock is WOW, CBA, Brickworks, WES, GMG, Elders, (VAS and all that Vanguard bullshit)
Volume (number of shares traded)
Trades (number of trades)
Value (dollar value of shares traded)
Example. ANL
Volume: 3.87 million
Trades: 15
Value: $4,160.868
Yes. Comparing different tickers on volume probably won’t tell you much. But daily volume compared to a week or monthly average for same ticker might produce an inverse cup and handle.
Some platforms (well CMC at least) also show “value” which is the dollar value of what’s been traded. It’s funny how small it is sometimes, puts it in perspective especially when it has moved the SP a couple of pips
It’s risky because it’s a speccy oil nearolgy play however there is a good potential to trade upcoming news. They will have to raise cash and a lot of it but if you’re lucky you could get in and out and trade it quite frequently. I’d expect a bit more pullback and then another run based on further news. I would trade it if I had the capital spare to risk but I wouldn’t long hold it
All goods, remember don’t use money you’ll need anytime soon, being forced to sell at a loss because you need the cash is normally where people go wrong.
Oil and gas prices still projected to stay strong due to ongoing supply issues and world reliance over the next decade on LNG and oil will continue as electrification is taking longer than expected. MAY fair value estimate by Morningstar is $0.11. Looks like a hold to me kiddo. Berkshire approved
A lot of patient holders.. waiting for an update..
One of the less volatile stocks I’ve held over the last three years.. good news should see this climbing to where it should be..
How many units are you holding of EXR?
It all counts man.. well done to get in.. I truly believe this will be life changing for those invested.. the hardest part is to not give in and sell and to see the big picture in the end.. all my other stocks have been extremely volatile over the last two -3 years.. it does pain to see other stocks fly during this same timeframe .. but this has been consistent lol.. just need to trust in management imo.. 2023 will be a huge year I’m expecting more big announcements to come after flow tests regarding company direction and overall strategy mid year.. good luck buddy all the best!!
Have been topping up every month since July 2020 after doing my research.. Bought my big chunk at 4 and 8 cents earlier in 2020. closing in on 1mill units currently
Depending on how many trades you have.... I've been good for 2022/2023 (can confirm, boring), but in 2021/2022, I easily exceeded the 20 holdings cap (not at one time, but throughout the year) for the free membership product...

I’m looking forward to it ending so my obviously contrarian portfolio can get some of these gains y’all speak of lately.
The more you gain the more you gain!
I don't think that is how compounding works.
😉
I know I can google this but I'd prefer to talk to you fuckheads. Does a stocks daily volume mean amount of shares or amount of dollars traded. Thanks
Volume (number of shares traded) Trades (number of trades) Value (dollar value of shares traded) Example. ANL Volume: 3.87 million Trades: 15 Value: $4,160.868
Thanks mcfuck
🤙
A holesome example
I see what you did there 😎
Yes
Shares
So comparing stock volumes to each other is kinda stupid considering one could be 10 cents and another $5.
Yes. Comparing different tickers on volume probably won’t tell you much. But daily volume compared to a week or monthly average for same ticker might produce an inverse cup and handle.
fuck me all this time i thought volume meant dollars this explains so much
Some platforms (well CMC at least) also show “value” which is the dollar value of what’s been traded. It’s funny how small it is sometimes, puts it in perspective especially when it has moved the SP a couple of pips
I have a 50% chance of nailing this, so I'm taking B) dollars . . . DYOR
Damn
BECKY hasn’t been this high since 2017. 😀 Wait… that doesn’t sound right.
I am not sure whether I should trade $MAY tomorrow or leave it alone.
Buy before appraisal/drilling and sell the news (unless you’re a LT holder) don’t sell pre drill just complete opposite to how you’re meant to trade
Thank you for your input. I am usually terrible at picking the right time to buy or sell shares. What do you think of $BAS?
It’s risky because it’s a speccy oil nearolgy play however there is a good potential to trade upcoming news. They will have to raise cash and a lot of it but if you’re lucky you could get in and out and trade it quite frequently. I’d expect a bit more pullback and then another run based on further news. I would trade it if I had the capital spare to risk but I wouldn’t long hold it
Thank you so much mate!
Thanks for the insight Warren. Great to have your kind of experience around here.
Slap the ask
ORG plzz....
Orgy please ?
Gangbang pls
With that flair…of course !
Remember young ones if you don't reach 1000% profit have you really succeeded at all? Never sell, always hold. Berkshire approved.
Username checks out, official Birdshire account.
Two weeks holiday, fuck yeah. Could you all please keep the Li & Cu rally going whilst I’m away! 🚀
Berkshire has your back. Been artificially inflating commodity prices since 78'. Lithium will fuel the new world order. Berkshire approved.
Another lonely day waiting for flow rates from NY
A lot of patient holders.. waiting for an update.. One of the less volatile stocks I’ve held over the last three years.. good news should see this climbing to where it should be.. How many units are you holding of EXR?
I’m quite a small bag holder with just above 100000 units. How about you?
Nicely done, hope it works out for us both!
Have you tried using Google earth to see if the flare has grown?
Now that’s a solid idea, I’ll be ahead of the game on price sensitive updates
Does anyone use sharesight ? Worth a tickle
I love it. I pay for a subscription year round, not like some
Navexa imo
You only need to pay for a month in July. Do your tax. Cancel. Costs like $10-15.
Really?! Holy shit this might be the first legitimate tax saving tip. You can also deduct that $15 in the next year!
I see you went to my school of stingy.
More money to waste on dogshit explorers 😎
Absolutely. It's almost time for me to buy another 1c penny stock in the hope it rockets to $1!
Brilliant!
Fuck. You are definitely smarter than me - I actually was to fucking stupid to think to do this, and instead pay the annual
First time you do it is free too. Using their trial
Depending on how many trades you have.... I've been good for 2022/2023 (can confirm, boring), but in 2021/2022, I easily exceeded the 20 holdings cap (not at one time, but throughout the year) for the free membership product...
Is there any reason to sign up for the entire year unless you enjoy looking at your portfolio and it's performance?
