ESS' management took too long into the lithium pricing boom to capitalise on the hot market. Lesson learnt - I'll make something, though small, out of this, which is fine in the current market.

They have a really significant land package too, which I think where the value proposition lies for them, which they failed to explore until only recently. Maybe they'll blend the Pioneer Dome ore with some of the high grade from Greenbushes? Although I'm unsure of deleterious elements in ESS' deposit, and then feed that into hydroxide.

I'm now skipping LTR. They aren't doing anything but building this year, so I'll keep an eye on them and invest later. I think PLS will have better returns, they're more stable, and I believe they will do a $0.3c div. I'm expecting them to be $5 in 6 months. LTR I keep flipping on, they look good, I could have gotten them in July for $1 and I didn't lol. I was chatting to my local beer guy, his advisor had them put 20k in LTR and that would've been 1-2 months ago at $2, feels bad man.

Literally looking at them now and comparing if PLS at $4 (expected 30c div) and/or LTR at $1.40; wondering if I should split or double-down. PLS is generating $, they readjusted their Lithium offtake with Tesla to market rates (yay), and the expected div makes them very attractive. LTR is slightly ahead but won't start producing $/lithium till 2023/4. The closer they get to production though, the closer they'll get to \~$3-5. Granted, lithium will flux this year before demand/production/cost starts to settle for 2024, so might try and snipe Liontown when there's a lithium glut/dip in the market, probs after June/EoFY.

Wednesday 11am Q4 CPI, consensus apparently 7.3%, I suspect markets are pricing in that November 6.9% in more than a 7.3% - so a 7.3%+ probably doesn't bode well and could trigger some pretty big downside. That said anything 6.9 or under will probably be rockets as the fundies and media are already pressuring old lowe to pause or do a mini 15bps and this would embolden that view.

I am happy to hold for a long time (a year or two lmao i am a short term trader) if the appraisal goes well. My hope is if the appraisal goes well MAY recently hired a lawyer experienced with mergers / acquisitions. If a big oil company like EXXON / CHEVRON etc came and bought them out (completely possible this is the biggest appraisal in over a decade) I could see 50c easily. $1 is absolutely dreaming but its astronomical gains are possible when acquisitions come into play. Long story short probs sell half if it gets to 50c and buy a house and be very very happy and slowly sell from there if it continues upwards

We're here to gamble aren't we? It's got some good exposure to US tech, it's like a NASDAQ without all the shit. It's got paypal, visa, intel, IBKR, iris energy etc. Then it's got super conservative indirect crypto exposure, which I believe will increase by the end of 2023. It's perfect for this.

Fair. They’re all pretty small allocations in the portfolio though. What about the bigger holdings? Galaxy, riot, coinbase etc. they’ve all been ripped lately.

This isn't the place to get deep into crypto chat, but I might do a DD post on CRYP in a few weeks to show why I think it's a good gamble on the ASX for anyone wanting to diversify away from mining specs but still keep similar upside.
