I would like AMC to do this.
By - AKnightOfTheNew
The AMC app shows this: under Movie Details all the way at the bottom of the RunPee section.
Did not know this. I usually just Google the movie after the credits start, if I forgot to check beforehand. This is a time saver!
They sure do.
When I was much younger whenever my dad took me to the movies he had us sit through all the credits. Not to see if there is a post or mid credit scene but as a way to respect the thousands of people who worked to get the movie made. I still do that.
This is the way.
I like to do that too, but then the people cleaning always try to get me to leave.
Yeah, having managed a theater before, it sucks on their end because often they have to get it clean within like 10 minutes. Systemic error in my opinion, because the credits are there for a reason and you’re perfectly entitled to watch them.
Out of curiosity, did your dad work in the industry?
He was the assistant grip boy
I’ve always liked to do that as well even when end credit scenes weren’t trendy. Now some ushers are usually waiting for everyone to leave so they can clean up.
Some would just tell me and some even lie, “there’s nothing after”.
I live in Hollywood and work in this industry. I think its important to have credits and to see people get acknowledged for their work, but I see no reason why anyone needs to sit and watch the credits, Just watch the names of Thousands of people who you don't know just scroll in front of you. At the end of the day your life shouldn't change based on who did catering for Cruella.
Also, the internet exists so you can look any of those names up from the comfort of your home
There’s an app and website that will let you know called aftercredits.com
Yep, that’s my go website to but even the AMC app under “Movie Details” > “Run Pee” area has some end credits info for some of the movies.
Anyone that has worked for a theater knows that no matter what a sign says, ticket says, icon looks like, arrows, showtimes, menu, policy etc no one reads them. Awesome Ideas but unfortunately people don’t pay attention
Spoilers! Now we know that Peter Rabbit will not be joining the Avengers, but Cruella might.
Yeah that would be cool. Like on the app or something. There are a couple websites that I use to find out. I use mediastinger.com and aftercredits.com.
It would be nice to have it integrated in the app or maybe a symbol on your ticket.
RunPee is integrated into the AMC app and tells you if there are mid/post-credits scenes.
Awesome, thanks, I always forget about that.
There actually are scenes during the credits for The Conjuring 3 and Peter Rabbit 2.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

No end credit scene for Peter Rabbit 2? I’m hopping mad.
There are scenes during the credits for it ( the chalk board is wrong for Peter Rabbit 2 and The Conjuring 3 ).
For those with an Apple Watch there’s an app called After Credits where you can check during the credits to see if it’s time to go.
The app Run Pee(or is it spelled RunPee?) also mentions whether a movie has an end of credits scene, or not.
I kind of like being smug and looking down at all the rubes too lazy to check themselves. Saw In the Heights yesterday, maybe 25% stayed for the post scene
This would be nice. I usually check on r/movies to see if a movie has a post credit scene.
Does AMC still give out freebies if you go see a movie? Could be wrong but I think for so movies they used to give out free posters.
Wait, you posted this to Regal lol
Yeah, I go to both lol
TIL I missed the mid credit scene at Cruella AND In the Heights
I didn’t realize there was one for In The Heights either. Thankfully I have HBO max so I could just skip to it at home (not gonna sit through that again in a theater just for an end credit scene)
What’s a mid credit? Like an intermission? We had those in the U.K. when I was young.
It's like an end credits scene, except it will play in the middle of credits instead of afterwards.
Right on. I’ve never experienced that.
It's in pretty much all marvel films, mid credits and post credits scenes. DC has them as well.
It's usually after some credits, with art work or visuals of some sort, and before the black screen crawl starts.
I think I was confused at first, because I was tired. It’s like OG Ferris Bueller 😎
I was walking out yesterday when the Cruella one started. Luckily I didn't leave right away or i would have missed it.
