I guess I'm unsure of what exactly you're asking. I have a highschool diploma. I just took the general like math, biology, English, some chemistry. I entered the workforce pretty much at 18.
Not necessarily. I don't hate my job, but it's honestly super dangerous at times. The pay is good and the downtime is pretty awesome too. I like the dudes I work with pretty well. So I guess as far as the actual work, I'm impartial.
Safety is pretty big here, it has to be. It's an inherently dangerous job. We have full face respirators that we're required to change the filters in every three shifts. The most dangerous chemical on site however is phenol. Don't fuck with phenol.
1) 4/10 bc it honestly seems super cheesy and something I would hate
2) 7/10 bc it has potential to be incredibly sad
3) 2/10 bc the beginning sounds awesome but the poetry coming alive part loses me completely.
Lol no just raking in stupid cash for doing nothing on a holiday. Fire watch typically is when something caught fire beforehand and has been put out, or has a very high potential to ignite. All is well here for the time being and the foreseeable future thankfully.
24 hour operation. We work rotating 12 hour shifts. On holidays it's a skeleton crew so typically 2 guys per shift. Regular operation we have 4-5 guys per shift.
Do you have any night shift scary stories?
When I worked a night shift at one of my old job, me and the supervisor were going into the pump room to get some work done, and when he flicked on the lights, we both saw a shadowy figure, what looked like a creeping hand, snake across the doorway on the far wall. We stared at this MF thing in awe for at least 3 seconds before it just disappeared around the doorway.
We ran back to the cameras in the lobby and it didn't pick up anything
Damn wtf haha. Nothing like that. One time a random ass dude was just walking around the back of the plant area with a backpack apparently looking for a drink of water. It was super creepy bc you're walking around a big plant at night not expecting to see anyone and all of a sudden you do. Gave me the willies pretty good. No idea how dude even got back there. All the gates were closed and the only entry point is monitored by camera.
How much do you make?
24 per hour
Neat and what's your educational background?

Ok, just a GED. Very nice. Do you love what you do?

Sorry 😂 you and another person asked the same question at the same time.
Can you list the chemicals that are produced there?
Formaldehyde, another compound used for fertilizer and we make resins.
Formaldehyde? Isn't that a carcinogen? Hope they regularly change your chemical masks.

Are you on fire watch?

Why is there a night shift? How many people work the night shift?
24 hour operation. We work rotating 12 hour shifts. On holidays it's a skeleton crew so typically 2 guys per shift. Regular operation we have 4-5 guys per shift.
Would you be for or against creating glow in the dark turkeys?
Glow in the dark live turkeys? Or like cooked glow in the dark turkeys?
Live one’s like what Stanford did with mice several years ago
Uh I guess? I think a bunch of glow in the dark wild turkeys in a field would look rad as fuck at night time
Education background?
Highschool diploma and some previous hazmat experience. Everything else has been on the job training.
