it wasn't my favorite, seven husbands definitely outshines the rest - but i am interested in reading the sequel to that "Carrie Soto is Back" because i enjoy what she does with her characters.
i'd give it a solid 6.5 out of 10 - quick vacation read, but not anything to write home about.
I didn't like it very much. I read it right after 7 Husbands which in retrospect isn't very fair. Right now, I'm in a slump and not reading anything. It's making me unhappy, but I seem powerless to change it. Any ideas you might have about breaking that pattern would be very welcome.
Have you read anything by Madeline Miller? She's one of my favs! She wrote The Song Of Achilles and Circe, which are both amazing.
Or, if you want something long to get into that's also sapphic, try Samantha Shannon's Priory of the Orange Tree.
I looooooooved Malibu Rising. She’s such a great author. I’m over here obsessively reading Carrie Soto and knowing nothing about tennis and now wanting to play - she’s just that good.
Most of these are excellent, you could do a blind pick and be pretty happy.
7 Husbands is a top pick for most people
Delilah Green is a good rom read
House on the Sea is really funny, a bit younger
Book of Cold Cases I think will depend on your tastes, but definitely an easy read
Sun Down Motel I haven't read and you've lost a lot of blood I hear a lot of people like.
What vibe do you want? 7 Husbands is great is you want twists and turns and drama. House on the Cerulean Sea is more fantasy and light. Delilah Greene if you want more straight forward romance
The House in the Cerulean Sea was amazing. If you haven't read it already, I can't recommend Klune's book Under the Whispering Door. Hands down was my favorite read of last year.
I started Delilah Green but sooo stuck. Keep thinking to come back to it but the writing is so cliché. I'm a huge sucker for gay romance but I dunno ...I hope I will come back to it to finish.
Evelyn Hugo was such a brilliant read I just simply could. Not. Put. The. Book. Down!!!
The Book of Cold Cases
Klune!
House on the cerulean sea is my go-to wholesome comfort book so I will vouch for it
The seven husbands definitely!
Rich Dad Poor Dad
Can’t help except to say I found Seven Husbands ho hum and a bit dry. Sorry
I couldn’t recommend the Sun Down Motel enough. I loved it. Also Evelyn Hugo.
I listened to the sun down audiobook and it was entertaining enough. I may pick up another of her books
The seven husbands is very popular in my circles!
I’ve read Evelyn Hugo and Klune, id just pick Klune over the over because it’s such a warm hug and I love warm hugs

Eric Larocca!
You’ve a great list!
Of those I’ve only read Sun Down Motel and loved it. I mean to read Cold Cases soon too.
Klune for me! One of my all time favorites. I love his work.
I know everyone says this, but I really did enjoy The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
I cannot stress how AMAZING The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was! I went down the Reid rabbit hole after and was NOT disappointed.
What did you think of Malibu Rising??

Loved them all, but The House in the Cerulean Sea is probably my favorite of your stack.
I also loved 7 husbands!!
Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo was the worst of 140 books I read last year. So don’t read that. Or maybe do, I dunno
I totally agree. Just curious. What did you think of Where the Crawdads Sing? I definitely have found myself 180 from other people in this community.
Crawdads was the worst book of 100 books I read in 2021.
it was amongst my faves for last year
Both Simone St James books are great!

Another vote for The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Absolutely loved that book.

Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. I had a very hard time putting it down - 5 stars from me. Both of the St. James books are on my TBR list, too.
Seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo
House in the Cerulean Sea but on audiobook—it’s so good.
The House in the Cerulean Sea was amazing. If you haven't read it already, I can't recommend Klune's book Under the Whispering Door. Hands down was my favorite read of last year.
Sun down if you want a little spooky or cerulean sea if you want to be wrapped in a warm blanket
Currently reading The House in the Cerulean Sea and it's amazing. One of my favourites so far this year.
Seven husbands
Hard choice! The Seven Husband Of Evelyn Hugo, Delilah Green Doesn’t Care, and The House In The Cerulean Sea all got five stars from me! 😄
I started Delilah Green but sooo stuck. Keep thinking to come back to it but the writing is so cliché. I'm a huge sucker for gay romance but I dunno ...I hope I will come back to it to finish. Evelyn Hugo was such a brilliant read I just simply could. Not. Put. The. Book. Down!!!
I started it too a while ago and felt like it was taking forever 😬 I only have so many pages left tho
Haha. Is it worth it do you think as you've gone ahead? I'm wondering should I revisit it and push myself a bit
Seven husbands then cerelean sea💙
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
I am a total fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid so this is my vote, too!
