It’s Finally Time for Universal Hollywood’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter To Open

Since Universal Hollywood’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter was announced back in December 2011, fans were eager for it to open so that they could experience more of their beloved and well-known Hogwarts and its surroundings. And now it’s finally here! The new Wizarding World is set to open on April 7th 2016, just a few months from now, in Universal Studios’ Los Angeles location. It’s relatively small compared to the Orlando Wizarding World (and basically a recreation of that attraction), and according to Alan Gilmore, supervising art director for the films and the parks, “It takes a really keen eye to spot the differences. It’s generally the same, but there’s a little more detail in a few places.”, None the less, the fans don’t seem to mind this in the slightest.

The fans will be pouring in to see what the LA Wizarding World has to offer, and it offers quite a few things.  First off, Diagon Alley – mind your words, or else you might end up in Knockturn Alley. Of course, you can buy materials for your potions classes, robes and scarves in the colors of one of four Hogwarts houses, maybe a pet owl or rat, and naturally, a wand at Ollivander’s. You might also want to pay a visit to Hogsmeade, have a Butterbeer (or two) in The Three Broomsticks, or maybe something alcoholic in the Hogshead bar. There are many rides in the park when you get tired of walking and exploring – you can get a great view of whole place from the top of a rollercoaster! And last but not least, Hogwarts itself. You can see all the offices and classrooms, and get the feel of what it would be like to actually be a wizard.

So take a break from work or school, visit this marvelous world, and let your dreams become reality.
