Went to my first Pilates class yesterday thinking it would be a really fun experience only to be completely humbled by the end of it. I was left panting and crumbling for water. But I love it. My body is hurting in all the right places. 🤍
SKL. Pinoy ang nag-design ng national costume ni R'Bonney (yung moon and stars). I saw a video of it being test worn by some guys sa FB.
Then I saw a comment na nagrereklamo na bakit daw we're giving our best talents sa foreign candidates pero yung sarili nating kandidata, kawawa (referring to Celeste).
Well, here's my 2 cents.
This is not a new thing that our kababayan artists and designers do the gowns and costumes of foreign candidates. Number 1, that's something that we can be proud of because other nations respect the artistry of our artists kaya sa atin sila tumatakbo for their costumes and gowns. Our designers and artists have been doing this since time immemorial. For R'Bonney in particular, she had to do the Catriona way and assemble her own team kasi in shambles org niya, kaya sariling kayod siya sa prep niya (even her senior citizen parents were involved in it). Because of her pride of her Pinoy heritage, she hired Pinoys in her team sa EG and costume niya.
Reason #2, politics and padrino system (na nabanggit ng ilang pageant vloggers). Dahil yung mga bossing ng MUPH (aka Mama Jonas and co.) would stick to their friends and kakilala with Celeste's prep, they crammed the gown and costume nung December 2022 (despite doing the selection 8 months earlier) which ended up being lackluster overall. May mga certain designers na maganda sana mga na-design pero na-itsapwera dahil sa punyetang padrino shit na yan, like Michael Leyva. Bagay sana sa personality yung gown na gawa niya for Celeste pero we ended up seeing her wearing a dated gown, and it seems like she can't walk that gown and is not that comfortable with it (yung kailangan niya pang hawakan while twirling, which is a no-no). And I fear that marami pang artists at designers ang inisnab ng MUPH Organization at the expense of Celeste's placement.

Ghibli Museum is actually selling a sketch and painting kit with guide and instructions from Hayao Miyazaki himself. It includes a sketchbook, pencil, one paintbrush, sharpener, palette and 24 colors of paint. What’s also cool is that yung items na nandun are what Miyazaki uses in his work. Handpicked din niya yung colors. Wala lang. Cool tidbit I just learned today.

Took Gabapentin for long covid induced headaches and migraines 2 months ago. 300mg a day before sleep and it worked like a charm for almost two months. Babalik sa neuro sa 15 for assessment. Sana mag taper off na ako, I heard hindi maganda tong Gabapentin sa withdrawals yikes.

Sa true naku. Ginagawang pampahigh to ng mga kano at malala ang withdrawals kaloka. It is effective when used properly pero bugbugan ang withdrawals as far as I know pag biglaan nagstop. Kelangan ata ung slowly reducing the dosage.

Took Gabapentin for long covid induced headaches and migraines 2 months ago. 300mg a day before sleep and it worked like a charm for almost two months. Babalik sa neuro sa 15 for assessment. Sana mag taper off na ako, I heard hindi maganda tong Gabapentin sa withdrawals yikes. Not going cold turkey, tyvm!

Sa true naku. Ginagawang pampahigh to ng mga kano at malala ang withdrawals kaloka. It is effective when used properly pero bugbugan ang withdrawals as far as I know pag biglaan nagstop. Kelangan ata ung slowly reducing the dosage.
