It’s mostly practice. That looks good for only your third try.


Try starting with a ponytail at first until you get better at the braiding process. When you section your strands, be careful and really feel to make sure the sections are the same thickness. At the end of my braid, I like to use little silicone hair ties so they're not so thick at the end.


The braiding itself is practice. The end of the braid looks better if the hairband is tied closer together, then it doesn't give the end such an angle. I find it easier to make smaller braids than to braid all the hair, so maybe to practice at home, while watching TV or something, take a strand that's a finger thick or so, and practice on that one. Warning: will get funny curls if you leave small braids in overnight.
