Legend of Tarzan movie - The New Legend of Tarzan Trailer Reveals His Origins

The New Legend of Tarzan Trailer Looks EPIC!

With just a few months before the release of the movie, the second, new Legend of Tarzan trailer has finally arrived. The movie is directed by David Yates of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them fame, and the main role will be played by True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgard.

The trailer show us many pieces from the upcoming movie – showing us that the movie will cover the origins of Lord of the Apes, and go right through to saving his beloved Jane from bad guys. The movie is set in the 1880s, and it’s based on Burroughs’ classic Tarzan adventures. The screenplay was written by Adam Cozad and Craig Brewer. The official synopsis of the movie is as follows:

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (Skarsgård) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Captain Leon Rom (Christoph Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.

The Legend of Tarzan is filled with fantastic actors and has quite an impressive cast, starting with Skarsgard as Tarzan, Margot Robbie from Suicide Squad as Jane, Djimon Hounsou from Gladiator and Guardians of the Galaxy as Chief Mbonga, Samuel L. Jackson as George Washington Williams, Crasper Crump from DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as Captain Kerchover, Christoph Waltz from Spectre as the primary villain Captain Leon Rom, and John Hurt from Doctor Who as Professor Archimedes.

The movie is set to swing onto the big screen (sorry, couldn’t resist) on July 1, 2016.
