In case you’re not already happily clicking away with fans across the country, here is the official Marvel description of their hit game:

Marvel Heroes 2015 is a free-to-play action-packed massively multiplayer online game created by David Brevik, the visionary behind Diablo and Diablo 2. Set in the iconic Marvel Universe, Marvel Heroes 2015 combines the core game-play style of Action RPGs and MMOs with the expansive library of heroes from the Marvel Universe.

By adding James Rhodes as War Machine to the mix, they’re adding pure firepower.  Sporting a different load-out than similar superhero Iron Man, the War Machine is said to feature chain saws, repulsers and an auto targeting, shoulder mounted mini gun that hunts the bad guys for you.  Flashy and fun, War Machine promises to be a fun hero to play.

The update to the game came on August 28th 2015, along with Carnage, a new Team-Up character; Limbo, a new map; and some new costumes for superhero Cable and supervillain Loki.

The “Variable Threat Response Battle Suit,” nicknamed War Machine and piloted by decorated officer James Rhodes, is a more heavily armored version of the Iron Man armor. War Machine was designed for pure warfare, in response to The Masters of Silence who had tech that made them immune to the repulser beams found on the Iron Man suit.  War Machine instead relies on more conventional weaponry such as rockets, machine guns and an impressive (in the game) warhead.

One interesting aspect of the gameplay revolves around the suit generating heat from its various weapons, requiring the player to let the suit cool down before they can continue using the main arsenal of weapons deployed by War Machine.  However, War Machine can get in close and simply go melee on the bad guys, gaining bonuses from the heat while he does, till the more flashy weapons cool off.

This looks to be fun character and a must try in the game.
