What’s Your Favorite Part of the Game of Thrones Season 6 Trailer?

Recently George R. R. Martin announced that he wouldn’t be able to meet the deadline for his sixth book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. The fans were naturally unhappy but still supportive of Martin as he is well-known for taking his sweet time writing the books. However, it’s been almost 5 years since Dance with the Dragons, the fifth book in the installment. And now, with only a month before the sixth season of Game of Thrones airs, it’s become obvious that there will be no book before the season starts. And only Martin himself knows how long it will take Martin to finally publish the book.

In the meantime, we can get ready to enjoy the new season of the critically acclaimed Game of Thrones. A few days ago, the trailer for the sixth season hit the internet, and it actually broke HBO’s previous record – it was watched 30 million times in less than 24 hours.

The trailer begins on the Wall, with the body of Jon Snow in the snow, and a voice saying “He’s gone.” This heavily implies that he won’t be returning to the show (however, many fans are not convinced). Melisandre laments the lies she saw in the flames, and perhaps realizes that Stannis was not the one she thought he would be (the reincarnation of Azor Ahai). Daenerys is caught by a Dothraki tribe and has an uncertain future. We also see Sansa Stark, who is alive and kicking, and who knows what she will be capable of in the new season? Cersei chooses to fight the Sparrows, a religious cult, by telling them she chooses violence.  And based on what follows, it looks like there will be no lack of that.

The show returns to HBO on April 24, white walkers and all, and it looks epic.
